A Time for New Beginnings
Thank you for your patience, dear readers. It has been a joyous time with my new grandson and a difficult time with the loss of my sister. After this weekend of renewal with friends and family, I will be back in my kitchen and hopefully, on your reading schedules.
I am also in the process of getting a facelift for my site, so there will be many new beginnings for all of us to share together soon. I miss each and every one of you and thank you so much to those of you that have written asking where I am and what has happened as I certainly have not been writing and posting recipes and stories a few times each week as I usually do.
I am here. I am in transition. I am quitting all of my volunteer work to focus on my family, my Thermomix business and this joyous hobby and supreme pleasure, my website. Meanwhile, I have therefore been working very hard to contribute my last little bit to each of my organizations and just taking time to regroup.
What are you making and baking? Please do share and do tell! And, you know me – especially if you are making a traditional Canadian somethin’ somethin’ during the weekend for your family. Those are my favourite stories and recipes. I would be over the moon to read about them in the comments section below. XOXO
Happy Easter 2015! Hugs and Happy Hoppy Healthy Easter!

I am so happy for your newest bundle of joy in your family and so glad you go to spend time with your daughter and new grandson! Transition is good and I am glad that it’s taking you closer to your family and your passions and away from other people’s needs and wants. I won’t be home until summer again now so I won’t be seeing you anytime soon, but I am sure we can keep in touch online while I’m away!

Karlynn!!
Your plans have certainly changed! Good for you! We travel a lot, too, you know. Will be back to SLC end of May to June 8 – will you be around there anytime then? Heading to Montreal in April and then Europe in June… give my love to those adorable children of yours, and your hunky husband, too.
XOXO

So nice to learn your real name!!!
Happy Easter to you, too!!!
Went back to Black Sheep in Provo Utah when there visiting my grandson the weekend my husband popped down. He is wild over their Pasole Soup. Chef promised me the recipe, still don’t have it – and we left him yet another note.
Happy Easter to you, which ever corner of the earth you will be celebrating in!
Hugs

oh val! this picture just makes me smile! reminds me of easters many, many, (OK), MANY years ago, when me and my sissies decorated eggs and cupcakes too! the brighter, the better!!!
easter seems so early this year. it’s arrived before i even realized it!….so no canadian something something’s from my kitchen this year.
i find that the holiday days are the time when i remember those who are not with me anymore; so many memories of good food and celebration times.
hope you enjoy some special easter time this year.
cheers for new beginnings
hugs
su 🙂
Valerie Lugonja says
Yup, Su!
Easter is the one celebration that is so fresh! I love that. Everything is shiny and new – the entire world is shedding it’s rubbery withered dirty wintry skin and I consistently feel renewed, re=energized and ready to take on whatever comes my way! Breathing in the fresh clean Spring air is a gift all by itself!

I am so happy you were blessed with a grandchild.♥
One of my daughter’s friends lost her mom yesterday:(
So sad to lose a spouse..a parent..a sibling.
Thank God for joys.. small or huge.
You sound excited about all the newness..it is always fun to revamp..refresh.
We had snow all night..The children will be scurrying in snow w/ boots to find their eggs ..
I’m busy in the kitchen..:)
Jacques will bake the spiraled ham today..it will be a room temp meal .. salads..quiche..buns..
I get my thrill out of the dessert making.
Have a beautiful day.
Good luck with all your plans.

Dear Monique,
She is the daughter of a dear friend. We made these cupcakes together a couple of Easters ago. I love baking with children and miss doing that.
Yes, it is so – life is full of sorrow, but without it, we would not possess the capacity to understand joy!
OXOXOX
