To earn a minimum of 35 000 by October 24 2014 for a Certified Commercial Kitchen Space in Toronto
Christine Manning from Manning Canning was a vibrant and consistant participant in The Canadian Food Experience Project. I have yet to meet her in person, but feel one step closer after seeing her work to get a commercial kitchen for small business people like her in Toronto up and running. We need the same kind of initiative in Edmonton. I know these spaces in our cities are very hard to come by. Yes, they do exist, but it is very difficult to get into them when you need to. For someone like Christine, the harvest season is an important time of year and she could easily keep such a kitchen busy round the clock for all three months, no doubt.
Anyway, enough said. She says it all best in the above video, and then announces an incentive my husband and I seriously considered. Gift 10 000 to the campaign and get her little red 1966 convertible MG. You can see it in the video below. Be prepared to covet.
Watching the first video, I found my mouth watering. I wanted to taste everything she preserves. The second video – well, I wanted to be 18 all over again!
